Why server rooms need dedicated cooling
Servers and network equipment produce heat constantly. Overheating causes shutdowns and shortens equipment life.
Equipment life
Electronics run hotter and fail sooner without cooling.
24/7 operation
Server room systems are chosen to run continuously, all year, including in winter.
What we usually recommend
For server and comms rooms we usually recommend:
- Wall-mounted units rated for year-round cooling
- A second unit for back-up on critical rooms
- High-temperature alerts where needed
- Regular servicing to protect uptime

Questions
Anything else, email hello@steadytemp.co.uk.
Is there an upfront cost?
No. Every SteadyTemp plan has £0 upfront. One monthly payment covers the system, installation, an annual service and repairs.
Do server rooms need special air conditioning?
They need a system that can cool continuously, including in winter, and is sized for the heat output of your equipment. We specify this at survey.
Can you add a back-up unit?
Yes. For critical rooms we can fit two units so one covers if the other fails.
